That Little Girl

That little girl that you verbally, emotionally and physically abused grew up.
That little girl that you claimed to love grew up.
That little girl that craved your attention grew up.
That little girl that could do no right in your eyes grew up.
That little girl is no longer a little girl.

That little girl is now a woman.
That little girl is now a wife.
That little girl is now a mother.
That little girl is now a business woman.
That little girl is dead and gone.

In her place is a woman, a child of God, a wife and a mom.
In her place is a business woman.
In her place is a woman who will no longer put up with the abuse that you still to this day try to put her through.
In her place is a woman who is finally craving no one's affections except her own.

The little girl grew up with a lot of emotional problems that for years thought was her fault.
She realizes now that they are not nor have they ever been her fault.
You see when a baby is born it craves the affection of those around it and if it doesn't get it it does one of two things. It either builds a wall around it's heart or it fights for attention any way it can.
She took the latter and starved for attention.
Well that little girl is long gone and in her place is a woman who realizes a few things.
First she realizes that God loves her and always has. He has never left her or made her feel like she had to play a game to get his affection because he gives it unconditionally.
Second she realizes that she has the love of a good man. A man who by no means is perfect (either is she) but together they are perfect for each other and at the end of the night that is all that matters.
Third she realizes that she has two of the most wonderful boys around. Boys who are growing up and finding their place in this world but who will always know in their hearts that no matter how old they are they can always come to her and get a hug. Why? Because she didn't play the affection game with them growing up. She gave it unconditionally.
Fourth she realizes that she is a business woman and can and is making money for her family. You think being a stay at home mom isn't work but it is and now on top of that she is selling online and being made to feel like that was insignificant too. Well it isn't.

So you see that little girl is no longer a little girl but a woman with thoughts, feelings, and opinions of her own. In fact she always has you just never saw it because you were too busy ridiculing her for being a "smart mouth" or for being "mean". Don't you realize she wasn't trying to do any of that stuff she was just trying to survive?
So if you want to get to know that woman that the little girl became then let her know because she's right here. If not that's fine too just know that.

That little girl is dead and gone.
That little girl grew up.
That little girl is now a woman.
That little girl loves you and so does the woman she became.
